This is a 95 land rover disco we are rebuilding an engine for and had to redo the exhaust and found this while putting the rear exhaust bracket on.

A guy in his 20’s just bought an older car & comes in for the first time so I help him out. I get all his info & create a new customer profile in our database; this takes about five-ten minutes so I usually casually talk to the customer during the process.

I notice he looks tired as hell so I ask him if he worked 3rd shift or something, since it was about 8:00 AM.

He mentions he’s been up all night as a ‘bodyguard’ for his wife - he hands me a camouflage business card with her name & web address all over it. He casually mentions “if you ever get feeling a little lonely, give her a look online, she does Skype shows, phone calls & other stuff too.”

I put the card on my desk, he signs the repair order & I verify the phone number I’ll need to call later that day to get approval for repairs. A few hours later after the technician has diagnosed the car’s problem I call the number & a woman answers...we’ll refer to her as cam girl (CG)...

One or two-ey little bitty accidenties...

This is normally our quickest lift, so I used it. After fixing the flat the supervisor comes out and says, “why are we using this lift?!”. Then he points out the broken pulley...

The prior night (I left early) saw that lift have the cable pulley break on the high side... Next time they should spend the 5 extra minutes to post a “DO NOT USE” sign on the lift.

I hope he has a float charger.

...there was oil literally everywhere and it was a diesel

Oh and if you need to drop the battery on the Model 3, you now have to remove the seats and carpeting to get to the bolts.

Well got towed in for the clutch not working. Customer claims that it has never been on the track and only drives it gently.... After using the one and only special tool (hammer) the flywheel came away from the crack Here some more photos !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Bleed nipple held in with epoxy.Best guess a bit of where it screws in came off and they felt this was good enough.

Most of the copper at the pierce was replaced with corrosion at this point.

Smokey car is was factory warranty because for some reason one piston was absent...

It’s getting a warranty replaced frame because of a defective steering lock. KTM won’t stamp a new frame with an existing vin unless you behead your bike and send it to the factory.

Life hack: if you loose your dip stick a marshmallow stick will work in a pinch.

yeah... scared me enough to install a smoke alarm.... till it went off at 5 am on my day off.... at wich point i threw it out the back door where it smashed against the wall of the house behind us......

i dont think they saw me do it.... so im pretty sure they are wondering where that came from...

i should get another one
